During our trip down the Exumas we buried a real pirate treasure for you to find… if you can. The clues are in this video. Post a pic of your find to the Facebook group Buried Treasure: Bahamas, and put it back where you found it! We’re hoping that others will hide treasures as well and we can all have fun following clues and digging up pirate treasure as we scoot around the islands.
Life on the Hook In George Town
We settle into life on the hook in Elizabeth Harbor as the number of cruisers here continues to grow past 200 boats! The girls attend their first ukulele class on the beach, we do some snorkeling with friends, and Alyssa explores some of the many hiking trails on Stocking Island. Oh, and some anchoring drama unfolds!
Junkanoo and New Years in George Town
We do the George Town shuffle and move around the harbor again – this time to take in the local Junkanoo festival. Then we ring in the new year at cruisers’ midnight with a beach bonfire and potluck dinner with some of our fellow cruisers.
Forbidden Shmershmidden
Merry Christmas! We try out a new anchorage to get our guests back to the airport, and explore 18th century ruins and an abandoned resort on a mysterious forbidden island.
